Turn on the component you would like to program the remote to control.

Press and hold the "TV," "VCR" or "AUX" mode button for three seconds. Release the button when all three mode buttons illuminate.

Use the remote's number pad to enter the addressing codes for your brand of equipment. The lights will flash with the press of each number.

Press "#" when you have finished entering the code. If you have entered the correct code the illuminate mode buttons will flash three times. If they do not flash, then move on to the next code, repeating the above steps until flashing occurs.

Power off the device by pressing the remote's mode button, then "power." The device should turn off or on using this method.

Press "SAT" when you are done programming your remote to return to its normal function.

Tips & Warnings
VCR mode can also be used to program DVD players. You can use AUX to program a TV, VCR, DVD player, amplifier or cable box. If use AUX to program a TV, press "0" before each code; for a VCR/DVD player, press "1" before each code; and for an amplifier or cable box, press "2" before the code.
If your remote has lost programming for the satellite receiver, then follow the above steps holding down "SAT" and enter "000" as the code. This works on remotes with gray mode buttons. If the remote has buttons that are not gray, then enter "500."
A remote code may work to power off the device; however, the remote's other buttons, such as volume or playback, may not exhibit functionality. If this is the case, try a different code to see if it changes.
