How to Get a Free Download to Unzip a Folder
Zipping a folder combines all of its contents into a single, compressed data file that takes up less space than the original. This is ideal for sharing with a friend or storing for future use. Various software titles can be downloaded for free to help you zip and unzip your files. Though you could use paid software, the free versions online are sufficient for basic use on a Windows PC. All Mac computers have built-in capabilities to both zip and unzip folders.
