How to Shift Your Reality in Six Easy Stepsthumbnail
To shift your reality, you'll need to be positive.

Reality is only a perception. It is fluid and constantly changing, based on how you are perceiving it and acting upon it. You have the power to shift your reality because you have the power to shift your perception. When you begin to perceive reality in a more positive way, you open yourself up to more positive experiences that can change your life. Focus on the positive in your life and change the negative beliefs that may be holding you back.

Appreciate the positive in your life. Think of everything you have to be thankful for and really feel gratitude for having it. Make lists of what you are grateful for in your life. One way to be appreciative in negative circumstances is to list a problem you are having, and then write down next to it any positive aspects of that problem.

Decide what you want your reality to be. What shift are you trying to bring about? Maybe you are timid and you want to become a more confident person. Perhaps you are easily stressed and you want to become peaceful. Write down the shifts you want to see and believe that they can happen and are happening.

Look at the beliefs that you currently hold about the world and see if they are consistent with the reality you want to manifest. Most of our beliefs are unconscious and can prevent you from manifesting your ideal reality. For example, you might unconsciously believe that only wealthy people travel abroad, which might be stopping you from saving and planning a trip to Europe that you've been longing for. Change beliefs that are inconsistent with your ideal reality.

Write affirmations for yourself. Affirmations are one easy way to begin changing your beliefs so you can shift your reality. Write them using powerful, active language. For example, if you are to manifest a strong relationship, you could write "I am worthy of a wonderful partner". Read your affirmations at least once a day and actually feel them as being true and happening currently.

Visualize yourself in the reality that you are trying to manifest. For example, if you are trying to manifest financial abundance, you could visualize yourself checking your bank account and seeing a large balance. Use all of your senses to really see how it feels to be there. When you visualize, don't do it with the attitude of need or lack. Have the attitude of appreciation and gratitude.

Take control of the thoughts that you have that are inconsistent with your desired reality. You are not your thoughts and you don't have to let them control you. If you experience negative thoughts, such as "why would anyone want to be with me anyway?," don't beat yourself up for having them. Recognize them to be false and let them go. Find positive thoughts or affirmations to think instead, such as "I am a kind, funny person."
