Tips & Warnings

  • Appliance stores can recommend the type of paint needed for the appliance you are repairing. A stove needs a paint made for high temperatures.

  • Contact the dealer or manufacturer of your kitchen range to get an exact color-matched paint.

  • Use a hair dryer to speed-dry the range before sanding and applying the epoxy.

  • Some appliance, or porcelain, paint comes in a spray can, so you will spray the range rather than painting it with a brush.

  • Make sure that that the range is cool when you do this project.
