How to Add a Printer to WordPerfect 6

When creating a Word-based document you do not need to use the default word processor installed on your computer or even opt for Microsoft Word. WordPerfect 6 has all the same features as Microsoft Word, giving you a perfect alternative to the Microsoft software. When using WordPerfect 6, you can use any printer that is connected to your computer. If you have not used the printer before with WordPerfect, you need to add the printer so the software knows to print with it.

      Check to make sure the printer you want to add to WordPerfect 6 is connected to your computer and powered on.

      Open WordPerfect 6 and launch the document you want to print by clicking "File," followed by "Open." Select the file from the small search window and click "OK."

      Click "File" followed by "Print." The print window now appears. Select the pull-down menu from the "Select Printer" option. At the bottom of the menu click "Add Printer." WordPerfect 6 should now scan your computer for any connected printers.

      Select your printer from the list of connected printers WordPerfect provides. This adds the printer to your printer device options.

      Decide on the amount of copies, or other options, you want to create and click "Print." The newly added printer now should print your document.
