How to Steam Out Raw Silk Fabric
Raw silk can be damaged by the heat from an iron. If your iron has a steam setting and you use a pressing cloth, you can iron it. However, even with this method, silk can be stretched out by the iron. If you want to remove wrinkles from a garment made from raw silk without damaging it, steaming is a better option than ironing. This is an easy task, as long as you are careful when using the steamer--wet heat, such as steam, can cause burns. Does this Spark an idea?

Tips & Warnings
If you do not have a steamer, hang the garment in the bathroom while a very hot shower is running. The steam from the shower will remove the wrinkles. Place the raw silk fabric away from the water's spray.
Do not hang a raw silk garment on a hanger in a way that will make creases, such as folding a pair of trousers in half over a wire hanger.
