How to Cut Melamine Particle Board
Melamine particle core board (MPCB) has a melamine resin surface that is easy to clean. Because it wipes clean so readily, it's often used for cabinets and shelving. Though melamine particle board is inexpensive, the downside is that it is not moisture-resistant and the edges tend to chip during cutting, according to Wood Magazine. You may not get absolutely chip-free cuts, but you'll get relatively clean pieces (especially on the finished side) if you use a table saw with a sharp, high-quality melamine blade. Look for a 30-degree alternate tooth bevel (ATB) blade for extra-fine sawing on melamine or laminates. Does this Spark an idea?
