How to Use Essential Oils to Freshen the Home
Essential oils are a great way to keep your home smelling fresh, and the laundry and bedrooms are great places to start. Certain essential oils including lavender, sandalwood, clary sage, and lemon make excellent natural home air fresheners due to their antiseptic, anti-stress/anxiety, cleansing and soothing properties. Things You'll Need
- Eucalyptus essential oil
- Lemon essential oil
- Sweet Orange essential oil
- Lavender essential oil
- Grapefruit essential oil
- Bergamot essential oil
- Clary Sage essential oil
- Ylang-Ylang essential oil
- Rose Geranium essential oil
- Thin cloth
- Spritzer bottle
- Water
Instructions

Essential Oil Clothes Dryer

Wash and dry items (like bed sheets) in washer and dryer.

Put one to two drops of any of the following essential oils onto a thin cloth: lavender, sweet orange, lemon, eucalyptus, bergamot and grapefruit.

Place the cloth on top of the dryer. As the dryer heats up, the scents will be released, leaving your clothes and laundry room smelling clean and fresh.

Take off bedsheets (wash them and dry them with the essential oils clothes dryer if you like).

Fill a small spritzer bottle with tap water. Drop one to two of any of the following essential oils into the bottle: sandalwood, lavender, clary sage, ylang-ylang, bergamot, and rose geranium. These oils have anti-anxiety properties and promote sleep.

Spritz each side of the mattress for a soothing bedroom environment.
