How to Make Internet Explorer Open in a Maximized Window
To make Internet Explorer open in a maximized window, set your window to "Maximize" before closing it. Internet Explorer remembers the most recent setting, so when you re-open the browser, it will look like it did when you closed it the last time. Note that your Internet Explorer "Tools" menu offers another viewing feature known as "Full Screen." This is not the same as opening your window in maximized view. "Full Screen" means to hide the toolbars, menus and task bar for a better look at the contents on your screen.

1
Open Internet Explorer. You can use a number of methods to do this depending on how your computer is set up. For instance, you might have the Internet Explorer icon---a large, blue, lower-case "e"---on your desktop. If so, double-click on it. The icon might also be in your taskbar at the bottom of your screen or accessible in your "Start" menu.

2
Click on the "Maximize" button, located at the top-right corner of the Internet Explorer window---it's shaped like a square. "Maximize" is between the "Minimize" button, a small horizontal line, and "Close Window," which is denoted by an "X."

Tips & Warnings
When your window is in "Minimize" mode, you can resize it using your mouse. Mouse over the bottom right of the window.
