How to Eliminate Pimples Fast
Pimples are the bane of the teenage years. They inevitably appear just before a special date or the prom, and it seems as though they get bigger the closer the big day gets. Finally, adulthood comes and seemingly pimples are gone. Then, from out of the blue a big crater appears. Yes, adults get pimples, too. Thankfully, with the right care, you can get rid of pimples fast and naturally.

Wash your face daily. This may sound like a no-brainer, but the truth is you need to specifically clean with a face wash that will remove makeup, dirt and oil. Women need to remove all makeup daily so the skin can breathe. Although men do not have to be concerned with makeup residue, they do need to remove dirt and oil that can clog the pores. Certain occupations are more prone to oily buildup, such as mechanics and restaurant workers.

Apply an over-the-counter medication. The doctors at WebMD suggest that for mild acne a topical treatment containing benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid can be applied. These can be found in pharmacies in the skin care section. You will need to look at the active ingredient listing to make sure the product contains one of the recommended ingredients. It should be the main ingredient and should therefore be the first one listed in the ingredient list. If your acne is more severe you may need to try other options. (See Resources for Link)

Reduce the oil and kill the bacteria on your face. In their comprehensive guide on acne, the doctors and advisors at Medicine Net point out that you have to kill any bacteria that could be causing the pimples and you have to reduce the oil on the surface of the skin.
You can stop the bacteria using facial cleansers that contain benzoyl peroxide, sulfur and resorcinol. You can purchase the expensive products you see on television or you can buy a cleanser at the local pharmacy either one will work to kill bacteria and stop pimples.
Your glands are going to always produce some oil and you can't stop the body and even with medical intervention you shouldn't stop the body's glands from doing their job. Instead, you should use an astringent to keep the face cleansed of oil build-up. This will help keep acne at bay and help acne that has erupted to heal. (See Resources for Link)

Squeeze the bump only if you know what it is. Dr. Peter Pochi, professor of dermatology at Boston University of Medicine, says you should only squeeze a bump if you know it is a blackhead or if it has a yellow pus head. Squeezing these will help them to clear up faster. However, if you are unsure you should not squeeze the pimple as it can lead to infection.
Pimples will clear up with time and medication. Nothing is going to make them clear up as fast as you would like them to. During the interim while they are healing, if you typically wear makeup you can use a concealer to hide them. If they don't clear up with OTC medications you may need to see a dermatologist.
