      Search through eBay categories -

      Go to eBay.com, on the left hand side you will see "Shop Your Favorite Categories." Now, you need to scroll to the bottom and then click on "view all categories." Then, scroll all the way down where you would see "See Item Counts" that is on the right hand side. Click on it and it will change automatically to show you categories, sub-categories and the number of current listings in the categories. This information will show you what is popular with sellers.

      Check eBay pulse -

      Go to pulse.eBay.com where you can check the search "Pulse" of popular products. This will tell you the 10 most popular eBay products and you can narrow your search to a category by looking above the header that says "Popular Searches," then search under "categories." Click on the drop down menu and choosing a category of interest to you. When you go to the next page, you will see 10 most popular searches for products within that category. You can click on any of the results which will take you to a list of products currently offered for sale. You can see what products sold within that category by clicking on "completed listings" on the advanced search page.

      Check what buyers want -

      Go to eBay.com and at the top of the page on the right hand side click on "advanced search." Enter the name of the products you're researching in the box and check off the "completed listings" box in the "Search Included" category. The next thing you have to do is make a default search for "Exact Words" in the box right next to the one you entered the products you're researching. You would be able to see the results that show you how much the item sold for and exactly what listings were used to sell the items with.
