PokerStars is a an online gaming company whose website allowed Chris Moneymaker, the 2003 World Series of Poker champion--who is largely credited with setting off the poker boom--to qualify for the event through a satellite tournament. PokerStars allows its users to customize the skins, or backgrounds, of its online poker rooms. This changes the appearance of the game but doesn't alter the play.

Open up your PokerStars gaming account to visit the PokerStars lobby. If a new update has been released, it will be downloaded and installed immediately.

Click the large Log In button in the lower right portion of the screen, then enter your account information to log in.

Select "View" from the top menu then choose either "Lobby Themes" or "Table Themes" from the drop-down menu to look for skins for your tables or for your various lobby screens.

Examine the available skins for the chosen portion of your client. Clicking on a skin name in the lefthand column will display an example of the skin in action in the window on the right.

Click "Install" to download the needed files for the theme if you have not previously installed it on your computer.

Click "Apply" to activate the skin as your current visual option. The skin will change instantly and can be replaced by any other installed skin by repeating this process.
