Find the Site to Adjust Your Photo

Launch your Web browser on your computer and enter the Obamicon.Me Web address into the url field: http://obamiconme.pastemagazine.com/.

Click the active hyperlink word "create" just beneath the Web site header.

Choose which theme you would like to use to convert your image. To make your image look most like the Obama poster, select the first theme in the first row. Click the image to continue.

Select which option you would like to use to provide an image. Click the hyperlink "webcam," if you wish to use your webcam to capture a photo. If you already have a photo you would like to use from your computer, select the hyperlink "upload a photo." For these instructions, we will use a photo from your computer.

When prompted on the screen, click the "upload photo" hyperlink.

Select the folder that contains the photo you would like to convert. Click the name of the photo file. For best results, be sure the photo is clear and in .jpg or .bmp format. Select the photo file and click open.

After your picture has loaded, you will be prompted to edit the image. Using your mouse, carefully click along the outline of the part of the image you want converted. This will separate your background from your image.

Click on one of the markers you have plotted on the image and you will be prompted to move to the next step, reset the image to edit it again, or skip the editing process. Click "done" when you have completed your edits.

Edit your Obamicon image on the following screen by rotating your image and/or increasing or decreasing image size. You may also adjust color settings if you prefer. Customize your text at the bottom of the image and then save and submit. Follow prompts to register your image with the site and download.

Tips & Warnings
Select an image that shows the image you want to use clearly. If using your photo, ensure your face is clearly visible.
To convert your image, you will need to register with the Web site Obamicon.Me and use an active e-mail account to confirm your registration.
You will need to click an agreement in order to receive your image from the site. This agreement allows them to include your photo within the site's gallery.
