How to Get Rid of Digger Wasps
Digger wasps should be ignored, if possible, because they are helpful to agricultural production and control other pests. However, if these wasps are in a location where they could pose a stinging danger to yourself or others, you'll have to remove them. If you are allergic to stings, you might want to seriously consider hiring a professional pest removal service. When using insecticides and other household chemicals, read and carefully follow the label directions. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Check the wasps' patterns during daylight hours to determine the locations of the entrance and exit holes to their nests. The nest itself will not be visible, as it is completely underground. However, you will be able to spot a hole, slightly larger than a wasp's body. Look for such holes around any spot where you observe several wasps gather.

2
Wait until early morning, or late at night, before doing more. These wasps generally do not attack unless they're provoked, but you still want to catch them when they're sleeping in their ground hive.

3
Dump the powder or spray the wasp spray into each of the wasp holes, liberally (and according to package directions). Be careful of any wasps you might wake during this process.
-
4
Check the hole(s) again after a few days. If there are still wasps flying around during the day, repeat all the steps and check for a possible new hive location. The first poison may have killed many of the wasps, but those that remain will build a new nest close by. If you are lucky, they will choose a location in an area that you, and the wasps, can live with.
