How to Update the BlackBerry Curve to Record Video
The first versions of the BlackBerry Curve were able to take pictures but not record video. When later versions came out, Research in Motion released operation system updates to add this feature to the older versions. If your BlackBerry Curve is not running on at least BlackBerry 4.3, it won't be able to record video. To give your phone the update it needs, you can use the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and a free download from your mobile service provider.

Tips & Warnings
It's a good idea to update your BlackBerry Curve to the latest software even if it can already record video. Outdated software is often the cause of common BlackBerry glitches or bugs.
There are many places on the Internet to download a BlackBerry Curve operating system. However, the best source for an operating system that is compatible for both your phone and your mobile service provider is your provider's website. Download and install other operating systems on your BlackBerry Curve at your own risk.
