Instructions

    • 1

Exfoliate the scarred skin. Use the sugar scrub and the soft wash cloth along with warm water. Do not use heavy pressure, since you do not want to scrape up the scar, but rather just remove dead skin. Once you are done exfoliating, pat the area dry with the soft towel.

    • 2

Rub vitamin E oil into the scar. Use your fingertip -- not your fingernail -- and be sure to rub along the length of the scar rather than perpendicular to the scar. Do this at least twice a day, once after exfoliating or washing in the morning, and again at night. Vitamin E is nearly twice as effective when applied immediately after exfoliation.

    • 3

Moisturize the area. Making sure that the scarred area's skin cells are fully hydrated will help them renew themselves more quickly. Do not moisturize until the vitamin E oil has completely absorbed.

Tips & Warnings

  • Exfoliate every three days. On the days that you do not exfoliate, you should just wash with a gentle cleanser. You can use vitamin E oil every day, multiple times each day.

  • Exfoliating more frequently than every 3 days can lead to chronic skin irritation and adult acne.
