How to Get Free Products and Samples

How to Get Free Products and Samples thumbnail
You can get free products and samples sent right to you.

Manufacturing companies spend a lot of money every year to ensure that consumers choose and by their products. Many offer free samples to market new products. They also offer samples in return for customer feedback. They want to know why people choose their products over a competitor's or why consumers choose a competitor's products instead. You can act as an independent consultant by offering feedback on products. In return, companies send coupons or samples of their products, a small price for them to pay for valuable marketing and product development information.

Instructions

    • 1

Search online websites that track free product samples, such as SweetFreeStuff.com and ThunderFap. In some cases, you may have to register. Be wary of sites that require you to accept offers for trial subscriptions to magazines or catalogs you don't want in order to get the free product.

Send feedback to manufacturers about their products. Take stock of the products you purchase. Think about how you chose a particular product over others available. If you tried a new product, decide whether it met your expectations. This is very valuable information to the manufacturing company.

For food products, comment on things such as taste, appearance, texture, smell and packaging. For non-food items, comment on effectiveness and performance compared to that of similar products you have purchased in the past. For both food and non-food items, comment on your perceived value of the product.

Contact the companies via email phone or standard mail. Find contact information on the product packaging; it usually lists a website or toll-free number. When you contact the company, a customer service representative typically will ask you for your contact info, code numbers on product packaging and your comments. It takes only a few minutes to provide feedback, and you can ask for additional product samples or coupons, which the manufacturer can to you in the mail.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make it easy on yourself to send letters to several companies by creating a template letter that includes your contact information so you don't have to retype the same info every time you send mail.
