How to Clean a Dymo Labelwriter
LabelWriter Printers, manufactured by Dymo and sold in most office supply stores, can be used to print different sized labels for a variety of uses. LabelWriters print individual labels instead of the entire sheet of labels that a traditional printer provides. While most commonly used to print shipping and address labels, the printers can also produce file labels, barcode labels and name tags. As with all office equipment, periodic cleaning needs to be performed.

- Lint free cloth
- Isopropyl alcohol, diluted dish detergent or diluted ammonia free glass cleaner
- Toothbrush or cotton swab
- LabelWriter cleaning card

Unplug the LabelWriter power cord.

Wipe any dust or debris off the outside of the printer. Clean dirt or smudges with alcohol, diluted dish detergent or diluted glass cleaner.

Open the cover and carefully clean any paper, dust or debris from the interior with a toothbrush or cotton swab.

Remove the labels and clean under the roll with a toothbrush or cotton swab.

Remove the cleaning card from the packet and insert it into printer. Press the "Manual Feed" button to move the card through the printer. Discard the cleaning card after use.

Plug the power cord back in and reload labels.
