There are many survey sites out there. Obviously not all of these said sites are equal. Most of the survey sites are a waste of time - you'll never see a single cent from these websites. Others, however, are excellent. While you'll never become rich off of these sites, you'll be able to make a bit of of extra spending money to use toward something you've always wanted or to help lessen the cost of everyday living expenses.
It may be hard to target and identify legitimate free paid survey sites, but in this article, I'll tell you how to do so and give you some links to great FREE survey sites I am a member of myself.

A free paid survey site that actually intends to pay you will NEVER ask for an upfront fee. Do not ever buy into claims that you'll make "$75 an hour" by paying a fee to join a website. These websites are after YOUR money. They will never pay you a cent! You'll only want to join a website that is 100% FREE!

If you find a free survey site research it. There are many ways to do this. There are several communities (linked below this article) in which you can look at in order to see if the said website is legitimate or not. Some websites may look perfectly fine on the outside, but really have problems. Some will not pay you, others will pay you very little for your time, and so on.

Join a community like BeenPaid, SlickDeals (Survey Forum - Under Freebies) or GetPaidForum. These sites have many people who are experts on the subject of getting paid to do various tasks on the Internet. You'll be able to search and post your own questions. People will be able to help you out and aid you in your decision on joining a particular paid survey site.
