How to Print Two Pages on One A3 on Microsoft Publisher

Microsoft Publisher is a desktop publishing tool that is included in many versions of the Microsoft Office suite. The usefulness of this application lies in its unstructured layout options. This can make it a better choice than Microsoft Word when creating a project that isn't easily designed under the stricter line and spacing options that Microsoft Word forces. However, it can be difficult determining how to print two pages on one A3 paper. Fortunately, this can be resolved through the use of Publisher's preset page sizes and some custom page settings.

  • Launch the Microsoft Publisher application.

  • Select "Blank Page Sizes" from the "Popular Publication Types" menu.

  • Choose the "A3 (Landscape)" option, then click the "Create" button.

  • Click the "Change Page Size" button in the Format Publication window on the left side of the screen.

  • Click the "Advanced" button on the right side of the screen.

  • Click the arrow for the "Layout Type" drop-down menu, then select "Multiple Pages per Sheet."

  • Select "Custom" from the "Target Sheet Size" drop-down menu.

  • Change the "Sheet Width" option to 16.535 inches and the "Sheet Height" option to 11.693 inches.

  • Change the "Width" option in the Page section to 7.5 inches and the "Height" option to 11 inches. The Preview window should now show two blue rectangles on one page.

  • Click the "OK" button. Your Publisher window will now show a 7.5-by-11 inch sheet that will print twice on one A3.
