Instructions

    • 1

Click the "Flickr: Make a badge" link (see References) and make sure you're logged into your Flickr account.

    • 2

Click the radio button indicating whether you prefer an HTML- or Flash-format Flickr badge, then click "Next: Choose Content."

    • 3

In the "Step 2: Choose content" window, decide which photos you'd like to display and click the corresponding radio button (your photos, photos from a group, or all Flickr user photos), then click "Next: Layout."

    • 4

In the "Step 3: Layout" window, select the format of your Flickr badge by clicking the corresponding radio buttons (Flickr link, how many photos to show, what size, what orientation), then click "Next: Colors."

    • 5

In "Step 4: Colors," click the color palette to choose the colors for your Flickr badge (background, border, links and text). Flickr will show you a preview of your badge in the bottom preview pane. Then, click "Next: Preview & Get Code."

    • 6

The final window gives you the HTML code for your Flickr badge; now you need to highlight, copy and paste the code into your blog sidebar where you'd like your Flickr badge to appear.

Tips & Warnings

  • Choosing an HTML-format Flickr badge gives you the freedom to customize your Flickr badge settings and coordinate the badge with your blog's design.

  • If you don't wish to display certain photos, you can edit a photo's settings in your Flickr account to make the photo completely private or visible to friends and family contacts only.
