How to Make Angels From Old Hymnals
If your church or organization is replacing its outdated hymnals with new ones, recycle the hymnals to make elegant angel decorations. Use the pages from old hymnals to craft paper angels for Christmas tree ornaments, bookmarks, greeting cards, gift tags, wreaths, centerpieces and garlands. The printed words, musical notes and staff lines on the yellowed pages of old hymnals make beautiful designs for paper angels. And because hymnals contain many pages, they are ideal for crafting in a group setting such as a youth or senior citizens get-together. Does this Spark an idea?

Tips & Warnings
For angel garlands, gift tags, bookmarks and Christmas tree ornaments, use a hole punch to make a small hole on the top of each angel head. Thread gold or cream-colored ribbon through the holes.
For angel greeting cards, punch a hole on the left hand or left side of two angel cut-outs. String ribbon through the holes to tie the two angels together.
If you use a utility knife to remove the pages of old hymnals, for the safety of children and senior citizens, cut out the pages before the group arrives.
