Tips & Warnings
According to the Cookware Manufacturers Association, you should always use heavily weighted pots that are made with flat bottoms on your glass cooktop. And you shouldn't cook with cooking pots or pans with colored bottoms. If the food overheats, the paint on the cookware might damage your stovetop. The manufacturer advises using heavy aluminum cookware instead.
Wipe spills up from the stovetop immediately so they don't have time to dry.
Be certain that the bottoms of your cookware are completely dry and clean before placing them on your stove.
Do not use any type of aluminum foil on a glass stovetop.
Keep gemstone bracelets and rings away from your glass stovetop when cooking or cleaning your stove.
Keep heat at the lowest possible setting to avoid your foods boiling over onto the glass stove.
Do not use metal cleaning or scouring pads, oven cleaners and rust removers on your glass top stove.
