Loosen the bolt located at the rear dropout on the bike with the wrench. This is the section where the wheel meets the frame. Do not remove the wheel, simply loosen it.

2
Locate the bracket at the end of the bike trailer. Insert this bracket at the rear dropout and hold it in place, keeping the trailer arm parallel to the ground.

3
Lock the bolt at the rear dropout with a wrench keeping the bracket in place so the trailer arm is kept straight and the trailer is balanced on both wheels.

4
Attach the safety clip around the back of the frame. This is a string that goes from the end of the trailer arm around the frame and has a metal clip to secure it in place. This is a safety measure that keeps the trailer attached if the bolt comes loose.

Tips & Warnings
Always check the bolt before going on a ride. You want to make sure that it hasn't loosened over time, placing your child (or pet) in danger should the trailer be released from the bike.
Make sure the safety clip and its string are properly secured to prevent them from dangling in your spokes or chain, creating a hazard.
Always use safety helmets for children riding in the trailer.
