How to Make a Flush With Epsom Salts

Epsom salt is just another name for magnesium sulfate. Epsom salt can be used as a flush to rid the body of toxins. Epsom salt is great for the digestive system and can even help your body absorb more nutrients from the foods you eat. An Epsom salt flush, although it has a bitter taste, can be put together at home with a few simple ingredients.

Things You'll Need

  • 3 cups distilled water
  • 4 tbsp. Epsom salt
  • 1/4 tsp. vitamin C
  • Pitcher

Instructions

    • 1

Pour the distilled water into the pitcher.

    • 2

Add the Epsom salt and vitamin C to the pitcher. Mix thoroughly. The vitamin C will help offset the bitter taste of the Epsom salt.

    • 3

Place the pitcher in the refrigerator until it becomes cold.

    • 4

Drink 3/4 cup of the Epsom salt mixture at 6 p.m.

    • 5

Drink another 3/4 cup of the Epsom salt mixture at 8 p.m.

    • 6

Repeat the same doses at 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. Your flush is now complete.

Tips & Warnings

  • Some flushes also require you to consume apple juice, olive oil and a grapefruit.

  • Do not use an Epsom salt flush without a doctor's permission if you have any type of health condition.
