"Halo Wars" is an Xbox 360 game in which players assume command of entire armies and pit them against other players in real-time strategy combat. "Halo Wars," like many other Xbox 360 games, features Achievements -- challenges for players to complete to add to their total GamerScore on Xbox Live. Two such achievements, "Halo Academic" (15 points) and "Halo Historian" (40), can be earned by unlocking Timeline Events.

Play Campaign Mode, searching for the Black Box hidden in each of the 15 missions. Every Black Box opens one Timeline Event.

Play Skirmish Mode with one of the game's six leader characters. Make sure to win the match.

Repeat Skirmish Mode, playing as every leader on every single map, making sure that you win each match. When you have unlocked 20 Timeline Events, you will receive the "Halo Academic" achievement. When you have unlocked the rest, you will receive the "Halo Historian" achievement.
