How to Repair Headlights on a Mazda Rx7

The Mazda RX-7 was a popular sports car made by Mazda for more than 20 years from 1978 to 2002, and it was a well-regarded small sports coupe for the duration of its production run. While working on a sports car can be intimidating for many do-it-yourselfers, one job everyone can tackle is changing headlights. Mazdas in general make this job extremely straightforward with little need for tools or expertise.

Instructions

1. Open the hood and find the headlight box, which is directly behind the headlight assembly. Mazdas allow plenty of room to access this without needing to take out any additional parts.

2. Grab hold of the headlight box and turn it counterclockwise to release it from the overall assembly, giving you access to the light bulb itself.

3. Twist the bulb in a counterclockwise motion and lift it out of the headlight assembly. Discard the old bulb..

4. Insert the new bulb, turning it clockwise to lock it in place. Replace the headlight box, and turn it clockwise to lock it back in place. Turn on your headlights to make sure the new bulb is installed properly and works.
