How to Change the Lights on a Dodge RAM

Changing the lights on a Dodge Ram is a job that needs to done any and every time a light bulb burns out on the truck. This process will not take you much time to complete, and all you need is the new light bulb and a screwdriver. The Dodge Ram is not safe to drive on the road without properly working lights. Dodge offers a lot of light bulbs to choose from to help you give your Dodge Ram you personal touch.

Rear Tail Lights

  • Locate the screws that are connecting the plastic light cover to the frame of the Dodge Ram. The screws are at the top and bottom of the plastic light cover.

  • Remove the screws with the screwdriver. Pull the plastic light cover away from the frame of the Dodge Ram.

  • Pull the light out of the fixture. Place the new light bulb into the fixture.

  • Place the light cover onto the frame of the Dodge Ram. Replace the screws to the support hole in the plastic cover, and use the screwdriver to secure them back into the frame.

Front Head Lights

  • Locate the screws that are securing the plastic light cover onto the front left and right side of the Dodge Ram. Remove the screws with the screwdriver.

  • Pull the plastic light cover away from the frame of the Dodge Ram. Pull the light bulb out of the light fixture.

  • Place the new light bulb into the light fixture. Replace the plastic cover to the frame of the Dodge Ram. Replace the screws into the support holes on the plastic cover and secure them with the screwdriver.
