How to Make a JPG Into a BMP
Convert your jpg file to the bmp format by saving the file in a new file format. This is applicable if you're trying to upload a digital photo online or trying to reduce the size of a digital photo and need a different file format.

Open your jpg file using a digital photo preview software (Paint, iPhoto, Preview, etc.).

Select "Save As" under the "File" tab in the toolbar.

In the "Save as type" box at the bottom of the "Save As" window, click on the downward pointing arrow on the right side of the box.

Change the file type from "JPG" to "BMP".
