Clean the entire surface with rubbing alcohol on a soft cloth. Although laminate does not typically scratch, you should always use soft materials when cleaning the surface. Dry the countertop completely.

    • 2

Clean the scratched areas with vinegar or a small amount of bleach and water mixture. This will help lift any stains or discoloration within the scratch.

    • 3

Fill in the cracks with small amounts of laminate paper paste. Use a putty knife to push the paste deep into the scratches, then smooth them out on top so the repair is even with the countertop surface.

    • 4

Allow the paste to fully dry for 24 hours. Polish the area or the entire countertop with a few drops of lemon oil and a soft cloth. Repeat this process once or twice a month depending on the amount of wear and tear. This will keep the countertop in pristine condition.
