Instructions

    • 1

Create an email account that can be used for students to communicate with the teacher. Provide the email address to all the students and ask them to provide you with theirs. Make an email list where you are able to quickly send out a mass email to all your students with important information or last-minute details. Use this email as a way to receive and send reports, provide updates for current projects and send documents required for the class.

    • 2

Create an online message board that provides students with the ability to post messages to one another regarding homework, projects and other assignments. Use the message board as a public place to post information and reminders. The teacher can also post the nightly homework on this message board as a reminder to students.

Create an online forum that gives students the ability to communicate with one another publicly. Many times students are able to answer one another's questions without teacher involvement so a message board is one way for students to clear up any confusion. Assign a moderator to always oversee the discussion that is being posted. Report any abuse and take appropriate action in response. Study groups can meet using the online forum, making their information easily available to one another.
