How to Make Bunnies Out of Wash Cloths

Washcloth bunnies also make great bath companions, as well as creative ideas for Easter basket and baby shower gifts. This project is easy and kids will love it.

Instructions

  1. Process

    • 1

Lay the washcloth on a flat surface. Smooth out any wrinkles and fold over in the middle to form a triangle.

    • 2

Roll the washcloth into a jellyroll starting from the small point and ending on the long side.

    • 3

Fold the washcloth in half to form a "V" shape. The pointed ends at the tops will be "ears."

    • 4

Wrap a rubber band around the cloth a few inches above the bottom curve. This will form the bunny's head.

    • 5

Lay the washcloth on a flat surface, and fluff up the loose ends to form bunny ears.

    • 6

Glue the wiggly eyes onto the bunny's head in the appropriate spot. Glue on a pompom for a nose.

    • 7

Wrap the ribbon around the rubber band area and tie a bow to disguise the rubber band. Glue a pompom on the back end of the bunny to form a tail.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can omit the use of wiggly eyes and pompoms as well as the ribbon to avoid choking hazards.

  • Avoid giving the bunny to a child under 3 years of age. The eyes and pompoms can become dislodged and cause a choking hazard.
