Instructions

  1. Making Eye Cream

    • 1

Choose a carrier oil to dilute your essential carrot oil. Choose from common carriers such as aloe gel, almond, apricot, sunflower, sesame or jojoba oil. Select one or a mixture of several.

    • 2

Combine your carrier oil and beeswax together in a small saucepan.

    • 3

Gently heat and melt the mixture over the stove. Mix the melted ingredients thoroughly with a wooden spoon.

    • 4

Heat the rosewater and borax in a separate saucepan. Mix together until the borax has dissolved.

    • 5

Allow the rosewater-borax mixture to cool to room temperature before combining it with the carrier oil-beeswax. Use a small whisk to mix them together.

    • 6

Add the carrot essential oil last and mix.

    • 7

Scoop the cream with the wooden spoon into a small glass cosmetic jar and secure the lid.

    Applying Eye Cream

    • 8

Apply your moisturizing carrot oil eye cream after washing your face before bed and in the morning before you apply your makeup for best results.

    • 9

Use your finger or a q-tip to take a small amount of cream out of the container.

    • 10

Gently apply the cream around the eye area, starting near the bottom and working towards the outward corner. Take care not to tug or pull at the skin as you do this.

    • 11

Pat it gently with your finger to make sure that the eye area is evenly covered.

Tips & Warnings

  • Apply cream using your ring finger because it is the weakest and will not apply a lot of pressure.

  • Never apply carrot oil or any essential oil directly on the skin.
