      Open Microsoft Word. Click Microsoft Office Button > New. In the New Document dialogue box, click Calendars in the left-hand panel. Browse the selection of free calendar templates using the categories listed, or search for a specific calendar type using the search box at the top of the page, using keywords such as "2010," "quarterly," "March," etc.

      Choose a calendar that suits your needs. When you click on the calendar title, a new page will open, displaying additional information about the file and an example of the calendar. Download the calendar template by clicking the grey Download button.

      Customise your template, changing colors, format and text style as you wish. Alternatively, you can leave the template in its original format. Save your changes by choosing File > Save.
