How to Connect Sony PS3 Bluetooth

Purchasing the official Sony PS3 Bluetooth headset to go with your PS3 couldn't be a smarter choice. The third-party Bluetooth headsets usually are flimsy and have poor reception quality. If you can't wait to set up your headset to start chatting with friends or to give out directions on online multiplayer, PlayStation has an "Automatic Mode" of pairing to connect your official headset to the PS3 quickly.

Instructions

1. Connect the mini USB side of the USB cable that came with the headset to the headset cradle.

2. Place the headset into the cradle with the PS3 logo facing out. The microphone part is the portion that is inserted into the cradle.

3. Boot up the PS3 to the home screen.

4. Plug the USB side of the USB cable into one of the ports on the system. A light on the headset will light up green for two seconds. This verifies that the headset has been paired with the PS3.
