      Go to "http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/" in your Internet browser. Check the box next to your operating system and click "Free Download Now."

      Click "OK" to continue with download in the window that appears over the Internet browser. A download window will then appear over your browser that shows the progress of your download. Once complete, double click on the Quicktime installer (the downloaded file).

      Follow the self-explanatory instructions in the Quicktime install window that appears. In the last window the installer will warn you that the computer will restart once installation is complete. Close any open programs and save any work before clicking "Continue Installation." Click "Continue Installation" and let installation complete and your computer restart.
