How to Connect Two Macintosh Computers

      Hook one end of an Ethernet cord into one of the computers. Hook the opposite end of the cord into the second computer.

      Open the Apple menu on the top-left corner of the screen and click on "System Preferences." Click on "View" to open a new menu. Click "Sharing" and turn on Personal File Sharing. Repeat the same thing for the other computer.

      Open the "Go" menu at the top of the screen and click on "Connect to Server."

      Click "Browse" and search for the other computer. Double-click on the icon for the other computer. You can now share information between the computers.
