How to Restore Permanently Deleted Emails in OE

In order to restore permanently deleted emails in Outlook Express, download or purchase a data recovery program. Data recovery programs increase your likelihood of recovering deleted emails, documents and music by scanning your hard drive's temporary files. Deleted files are temporarily kept on your hard drive, and over time they are overwritten with new information.

      Open your Internet browser. Type "Data Rescue PC" in your search engine and press the "Return" or "Enter" key to begin your search.

      Click the first search result. Next, click the "Demo" link.

      Enter your email address and click the "Get Download URL" button. Open your email client and retrieve the Prosoft email. Open the email and click the download link to begin your software download.

      Save the file to your desktop, and then double-click the file to run the installation wizard. Click "Next" and check the box next to the "I agree to the terms" to proceed. Click "Next" and "Install."

      Run the program. Click "Start," "All Programs," "Prosoft" and "Data Rescue PC." Click "Demo" and click "Select Drive/Volume" to continue. Click the hard drive you want to check for deleted emails, and click "Next."

      Click "Deleted Files Scan" and click "Start." Select a backup drive or a temporary drive to use during the hard drive scan, and click "Open."
