1
Scan the playing card to your computer. Open the card in a photo-editing program to change the image on the card. You should decide what type of edit you want to do to the card beforehand because certain card tricks require specific edits. Research what type of card trick you want to perform to save time and make high-quality gaff cards.

2
Mark a corner of a plain sheet of printer paper with a pencil. Make a mark that will be visible. You are marking the printer sheet to know which way to feed the paper into the printer when you tape the card to the paper. Print the edited image onto the printer paper.

3
Use a pencil eraser to remove the ink from the playing card. You will need to rub the playing card vigorously until you fade the ink significantly. Brush off the eraser shavings from the card. Once you remove the ink from the playing card with an eraser, you can now print your gaff design onto the card from your computer.

4
Tape the card to the paper with the erased side facing toward you. Tape it to the area on which you printed the edited card image. Make sure you feed the paper into the printer the same way you did before, using the marked corner as your guide.
-
5
Print the gaff image. Change your printer settings to print with best quality. Allow the ink to dry before touching the card.
