How to Remove Time Stamps Pics
When taking a picture, you often have the option of adding a time stamp to the corner of the image. The time stamp embeds the date and time into the image. Although this allows you to know exactly when the image is taken, you may find the bright gold lettering distracting and it may detract from the image itself. Thankfully, there are a few different ways you can turn off or remove the time stamp from the picture.

1
Power on your digital camera and press the "Menu" button. Select the image options and find the time stamp settings. Turn the setting off. Now when you take a picture, the camera does not place the time stamp onto the image.

2
Launch the photo editing software on your computer. You can use programs such as "Paint" if you do not have a more advanced program installed on your system.

3
Import the image into the program. If the picture is digital, you can upload it by clicking "File," "Import" and selecting the image. If the picture is a print, you need to scan the image into the computer using the "Camera and Scanner Wizard."

4
Select the "Crop" tool. Click-and-drag the "Crop" tool over the time stamp and continue dragging over to the other side of the image. This selects the entire side or bottom of the image. You need to drag the crop tool over the entire side because if you only crop out the time stamp, you will leave a small white box in its place. This is far more distracting than the time stamp. However, by selecting the entire side the image becomes slightly smaller, and, when saved, the white area will be removed.

5
Press "Delete" and the computer removes the time stamp.
