How to Expand a Wire Shelf
Often used in industrial or commercial settings, wire shelves typically come with interlocking shelves and legs that can be connected to expand the shelves and position them to suit your particular needs. Install wire shelves in your workshop, storage area or pantry for a durable and versatile method of organizing and stocking supplies. Stack all the shelves, except for the top shelf, and line up the leg post holes. If making double-wide shelves, stagger in the second set of shelves, lining up the center leg holes for each set of shelves.

Insert the legs posts into the holes. Clip the plastic sleeves around the legs posts, near the top for supporting the top shelf.

Attach the top shelf over the leg posts, on top of the plastic sleeves. Tap them into place on the plastic sleeves with a rubber mallet.

Pull the second shelf all the way up, and attach plastic sleeves at the point where you would like the shelf to sit.

Drop the second shelf onto the plastic sleeves and tap it into place with the mallet.

Continue to attach the additional shelves in the same manner.
