How to Create a Photo Card in Paint Shop Pro
Paint Shop Pro is a software program from Corel that allows you to edit photos and create new images. Anything that you can imagine, you can easily create with the program. One option, which is a great way to share your favorite pictures with friends and loved ones, is to create your own photo card. Better yet, the program allows you to personalize the photo card with text and embellishments.

Open Paint Shop Pro by double-clicking the program's icon on your desktop.

Load the image you wish to make into a photo card by selecting "File" from the menu at the top of your computer screen and choosing "Open." Search your desktop and locate the file that contains your picture.

Double-click the image to load it into the Paint Shop Pro program.

Click "Adjust," then scroll down and select "Smart Photo Fix." This opens a window that will suggest changes to optimize the look of your image.

View the preview thumbnail image to ensure that the changes to your picture are to your liking. Make adjustments by simply moving the "Overall," "Shadows," "Highlights," "Saturation" and/or "Focus" bars. Feel free to play around with the bars; you can click "Cancel" to start over at any time.

Save the changes once you are pleased with the look of your photograph by clicking "OK."

Click "Picture Frames" from the "Image" menu. A small window will open; click the square near the top right corner of the window to open the frame options.

Scroll through the frame options to select the one that best fits the theme of your photo card.

Left-click the thumbnail of the frame you wish to use and click "OK" to apply the it to your picture.

Select the "A" icon from the toolbar menu on the left side of the screen to add text. Adjust the font type and size by scrolling through the list in the "Font" menu. Edit the font color by selecting your preferred shade from the "Materials" area on the right side of the screen.

Add a word or phrase to your photo card by clicking on the image. A text window will open and allow you to type in a word or phrase. Click "OK" once you have finished typing and the text will appear overlaid on your image.

Drag and move the text wherever you prefer on your image by holding down the left mouse button on the center of your text selection. Once you have placed the text in your preferred location on the photo card, release the mouse button and simultaneously select the "Control" and "D" keys on your keyboard to de-select it.

Open "Print Layout" from the "File" menu. Arrange the image on the page, being careful that it is only covering the lower half or full right side of the page. This will ensure that, once printed, you can easily fold the page into a card.

Select "Print Setup" from the "File" menu once you are satisfied with the photo card layout. Under the "Number of Copies" area, enter the amount of cards you want to print and select "Close." Click "File" and "Print" to print out your finished Paint Shop Pro photo cards.
