How to Delete Open Office
OpenOffice.org is a free set of open source office productivity programs. This suite has a word processing, database, spreadsheet and presentation programs that mirror MS Office suite programs, but allow users to open, work with and save documents in other formats. If you have OpenOffice.org installed on your computer, it's not difficult to delete it.

Click on the "Start" button for Windows XP or earlier, or the Windows icon for Windows Vista and newer.

Click on the "Control Panel" command to bring up the "Control Panel" window. Double-click the "Add or Remove Programs" icon.

Allow the "Add or Remove Programs" window to compile a list of all programs, then scroll down until you find "OpenOffice.org." Click it to highlight. Click the "Remove" button.

Click "Yes" in the confirmation window. The program will start uninstalling.

Close the control panel by clicking on the "X" in the corner of the window. All Open Office programs will now be gone from the computer

Tips & Warnings
Once you have deleted OpenOffice.org, you will need to visit the software's website (openoffice.org) to redownload and reinstall. Any files that have been associated with Open Office will no longer work.
