You can get wrinkles out of drapes without taking them down by using wrinkle releaser sprays and a fabric steamer. Wrinkle releaser sprays are sold at supermarkets and are usually located on the aisle with laundry detergent. A fabric steamer may also be found at a supermarket usually in the same area where vacuums and irons are sold. If there are only a few wrinkles, you may only need to use wrinkle release spray. Purchase wrinkle release spray and a fabric steamer from your local supermarket.

Read the instructions that accompany the wrinkle releaser spray and steam cleaner to insure the best results.

Work with one drapery panel at a time. Begin at the top of the drapes and work your way down in small sections. Spray on wrinkle releaser spray and then use the steamer to continue straightening the curtains.

Hold the curtains taut as you work your way down. Once you finish one panel, move to the next panel until all the drapes have been treated.

When you are finished with all the drapes, go back and check for areas that still have wrinkles. Spray wrinkle releaser on problem areas and run the steamer over the wrinkled areas until they are smooth.
