Chinese silk is a smooth, elegant fabric that is attractive and soft to the touch. This high-quality fabric makes for the perfect duvet covering, creating a calm, soothing feel in the bedroom. Duvet covers are a perfect alternative to a full comforter, as you can simply slip your old comforter inside the duvet, giving a whole new look to old bedding. This is especially helpful when you have an old comforter that is the proper weight and provides you with the proper warmth, but simply needs an update in appearance.
Things You'll Need
- Laundry detergent
Spot-wash the silk duvet when residue or stains develop. Moisten a soft cloth with water, along with a drop of laundry detergent.
Scrub gently over the stained area and repeat until the stain has been removed.
Allow the area to air dry.
Hang the duvet outdoors when odor develops. Hang out of direct sunlight to prevent discoloration. This will freshen the smell of the duvet, which is especially helpful in households with pets and/or smokers.
Take the Chinese silk duvet to a a professional dry cleaner if spot-washing does not clean the duvet to your liking.
