How to Send Pictures Over a BlackBerry

Nearly all BlackBerry phone models have the capability to take pictures with their built in cameras. Although you can certainly transfer a picture file from your BlackBerry phone to your computer and send it to your friends and family, many BlackBerry users choose to send it directly from their phones. You have three options when sending a picture file from a BlackBerry phone: MMS, email message and instant message.

Instructions

    • 1

Navigate to the picture file you want to send over your BlackBerry phone.

    • 2

Press the "Menu" key on your BlackBerry phone to open the side menu. Choose the appropriate option out of the three listed in the pop up side menu: "Send as Email," "Send as MMS," "Send to Messenger Contact."

    • 3

Choose the contact you want to receive the picture file on the next screen. Press "Send" to complete the process.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are having trouble sending a picture file through an MMS, email message or instant message, you should contact your mobile service provider. They may need to resend the service books to your BlackBerry phone.

  • The way your mobile service provider charges you for the sending a picture file through MMS, email message or instant message depends on the service contract you have with them. It's a good idea to understand your service contract before trying to send a picture to anyone. Otherwise, you may find yourself with unexpected charges on your next mobile bill.
