HD video cameras used to be expensive and where typically reserved for professionals, but the company Pure Digital had the idea to create small, affordable cameras capable of recording in HD. Out of this idea spawned the Flip camera, which quickly became one of the most popular HD cameras on the market. Saving video to your computer from your Flip camera takes only a few simple steps.
Things You'll Need
- Flip Video Program
Turn off your Flip device and plug it into your computer.
Open the Flip Video Program. If you haven’t installed this program, insert the disk you received when you bought your Flip device and install the program from there.
Go to "Your Library" and click on an album. Under the “Features” section, select “Save Videos.” A selection screen will open.
Select the clip(s) you wish to import and then click “Save to Computer.” This will save the video to your documents folder (in Windows and OS X).
Tips & Warnings
- Pure Digital, Flip's manufacturer, strongly recommends not moving around folders containing your videos in the document folder, as this could result in the loss of files.
