How to Find People With a Postcode Search

Save

A postcode is the United Kingdom's equivalent to the United States' ZIP codes. The ZIP code allows the postal service to quickly sort and deliver mail. If a postcode is not placed on a piece of mail, it may prolong the delivery because it must be manually sorted. You can easily use a postcode to find people if you know where to begin. Experian provides a service for the U.K. on its website which allows individuals to search for people by postcode and address.

Things You'll Need

  • Computer
  • Internet access
  • Log on to the Internet from your computer.

  • Go to the U.K.'s Experian website from the following URL: http://www.qas.co.uk/products/demonstrations/pro-web-demo.htm

  • Type in the address or postcode of the person you are trying to find in the middle of the page where a space is provided. Click the gray “find address” button below the postcode you have entered. A new page will load.

  • Click the gray “request more information” button which appears below the postcode you have entered. A new page will load.

  • Enter your name, the address and postcode you are searching for and your email in the spaces provided, so the information you have requested can be sent to you. Click the gray “find address” button below the postcode you have entered once again. Click the gray “submit details” button at the bottom center of the page. A new page will load.

  • Enter your telephone number if you wish to be called by Experian. This is optional. Click the gray “submit details” button.
