How to Convert Visio Files to PDF

Microsoft Visio provides you with a designer for creating flowcharts. The flowchart images you create in the Visio software can be converted the the Adobe PDF format. This allows you to create a read-only document to distribute to other people. The Adobe PDF format is an online standard, so you can also distribute these pages on your Web pages. The conversion is accomplished in the Visio software.

Instructions

1. Open Microsoft Visio. Click the "File" menu opens and select "Open." Select the Visio document you want to convert to PDF.

2. Click the "File" menu again and select "Convert To Adobe PDF." This opens a window prompting you for a location for the converted file.

3. Enter a location for the converted PDF file. In the "File name" text box, enter a name for the PDF. Click "Convert" to process the request and create the PDF file.
