1
Find your school's entrepreneurship center. Most schools will have an entrepreneurship center, usually within the business school. Talk with the people in the office. Find out if you can help any fellow entrepreneurs with their businesses. This will help get your brain juices flowing to create business ideas.
-
2
Take classes in entrepreneurship. You need to train your mind to think like an entrepreneur.
-
-
3
Use student loans and part-time jobs to finance your venture. If you start a low-cost business, you can bootstrap the financing yourself.
-
4
Join or start an entrepreneurship club. Many colleges (especially business schools) have entrepreneurship clubs. This is an amazing resource that you won't have after you graduate. Take advantage of the opportunity to learn from your entrepreneurial peers.
-
5
Visit your school's technology transfer office. Not every school has one, but a technology transfer office is in charge of taking products and ideas developed at the university and building a business around them. The technology transfer office will have many opportunities to work on new businesses. You can either start up one of these businesses or work for a start-up as part of your training to become an entrepreneur.
